Whats wrong with me??!!

Oh my gosh, I went outside and shoveled a bit of snow in our driveway so I could shut the gate, my hands were getting cold (of course I wasn't smart enough to put gloves on ) so I came in. I was out for 5 minutes at the most, its 25* F...

Well, my fingers on my left hand just started swelling up My ring finger and my middle finger are about twice the size of the ones on my right hand!!! My family is just laughing at me, lol, my dad was telling me that I'm allergic to work. Why did this happen!? It feels really funny typing, lol...I tried to get a good picture but its really hard to take one of both of my hands at the same time...lol.

Glad your hand feels better, sorry I read your post but had no idea what it could be....my advice....avoid manual labor at all costs

Sounds to me like you needed to have gloves on! It's very important when you're out in the cold like that to not leave any skin exposed . . . especially skin that is so far away from your core.

Young lady, with no gloves on and in 25 degree weather, it sounds alot like a touch of frostbite. I've done that a lot and when I would come back in the house, my fingers would start to come back to normal. Just remember to wear a pair of gloves the next time you shovel.

Sounds scarey, I am glad the swelling went down and it was nothing serious.
