    Paint your own pottery=fun :)

A friend and I had been wanting to do this for a long time. There's a place you can go where you pick items that haven't been fired yet. Things like plates, vases and bowls, etc. We decided to do plates. We picked out our colors and got to painting. It's so much fun. This place also serves lattes so you can enjoy that while you're painting. Here's my plate:

    and here's my friend's plate

She had to finish her's today so while I was wating, I decorated this tile

We're planning on picking them up on Tuesday. I can't wait to see how they look! I'll put the finished results here, too. If you've got a place like this in your area, I suggest you go. It's a lot of fun.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Val, over the years, Helen and I have done this together a lot. It IS fun!

The last thing I made was a Sake pitcher and two little cups (not that I have ever had hot Sake in my house!). Helen made me some wonderful Christmas plates over a couple of years. I will always treasure them.

It is fun and a great way to relax and enjoy yourself. Your things look terrific! Can't wait to see how they look after they are fired.

Those are great! I loved ceramics when I was in high school...that would be such a fun thing to do!
