My friend died yesterday. I just found out. There are some circumstances that happened about a week ago that make the problems worse but I can't get into that here. She was just a couple of years older than me. She leaves behind her 5 year old daughter. She was a good friend and she never treated me like a dispatcher but more as an equal. We were friends since she got hired back in 1986. I didn't see her much outside of work but we always kept in touch and went out to eat every so often. She really lived up to her name, too. She was always a pleasure to be around and never let life get her down, though she's been having medical issues I'm guessing around 15 years. I was kind of happy because we'd just put up the tree here at work and then I found out she was gone. I never did get to say goodbye to her so this is my goodbye. Rest well, dear friend. No more suffering. I pray your family can get through the hardship that is ahead.
I also meant to thank you Amy. That drawing of Rex really made her happy. I wish I could put her pic here.
