yep my dad does. we both share love for animals.

we are hatching chicks and ducklings out of the incubater. we got 9 chicks. our ducklings are going overboard, there is like 18. ducklings smell but they are cute!

ohh yah? i am surprised our mallards didn't fly away for the winter. our muscovy's can fly and they perch on top of the barn. they fly over to the neighbors dairy farm and swim in the stream. we have a kiddy pool for the other ducks. but when they are in the barn they swim in the donkeys stock tank

Lol, nope none of our ducks fly. The Swedish's cant, they never will be able to, they didnt get their wings clipped or anything, they are jsut a breed that cant fly. And the Malard never goes anywhere, I have never even seen him fly. We have two HUGE ponds, both are about 25 ft deep and at least 40 YARDS long and one is only like 15 yards wide but the other one is like a circle so it is hmm. .. 70 yrd. diameter?

most domesticated ducks can't fly. the only domesticated ducks that can are muscovys. (mallards aren't domesticate) your ducks are lucky to have ponds.

well the russian blue's name is cloud, but we sold him. out crested duck (not pictured) is named peety. (though she turned out to be a girl.) we named her when she was a duckling because she was blind. i had to bring her from the food to the water and stuff. she would have to walk around until she bumped into the food when she wanted it on her own. she was SUCH a sweetie. she didnt turn out tame (none of them did) so they can't be caught. we put stuff in her eyes and was able to see again. but now she is blind in one eye. what a hard life for her. the female cuyuga's name is starlight.

the other ducks we didn't name. i only named my favorites. lol

Lol, my ducks dont have names either. That is so sad about the blind duck! All my ducks are fairly tame, but not as tame as Gizmo was, he was a black swedish, and he was the NICEST duck ever. He was like a dog, and he would chase the dogs around the yard (are ducks arent in a pen our anything, they can go whereever they please, even with our dogs ) and you could pet him and everything, and he would fallow you around everywhere. This July, he disappeared though, and I miss him dearly. .

saddd. poor thing. sounds like a happy duck.

our ducks, chickens, turkey, etc go wherever they want too. when the sun starts to set they all come in the barn. even the silver pheasant. but it is too cold to let them out these days.
