I don't know if I believe that story, but either way its an interesting looking dog.
Now with that info being known, hopefully that dog wont be snatched up by some irresponsible person just interested in the rare breed.
Well, that would be stupid. If they can't find another one of those kind of dogs it would just be a mixed breed. It may not be true. But it looks like a Tasmianian Tiger.
umm I think they were kidding.... She's adorable though!

I REALLY don't think marsupials and mammals can breed...and produce offspring. That's so not true and she doesn't look like it, she looks like a brindle mix, although very cute. SHe is brindle colored not striped. You can't interspecies breed, sorry=)
Thanks Jess for the great sig of my kids!

Was that whole tazmanian dog a joke? Why would they put that?
someone should email them and ask them why they put thatOriginally Posted by CagneyDog
I really dont believe it.
That is very strange of them to make such a big deal of that???
Trust me if there was even a shred of truth to that the "dog" wouldn't be on PetFinders, it would be in a lab being studied to find out how marsupials and mammals mated to produce offspring and why it wasn't in Tasmania, and try to figure out how an African Wild Dog managed to find the only living tasmanian wolf across continents to breed with. It's a crock and either someone found it funny as a joke or they aren't too bright and thought it to be true. Either way it's false.
