WOW I call corgis and cockers SMALL BY FAR! What is a dane then?? Well I like meduim and upwards generally. I classify usually as follows:
    up to 10 lbs: tiny
    11-25/30 lbs: small
    30-50 lbs: medium
    50-100 lbs: large
    over 100 lbs: XL
Niņo is 53 lbs, very muscled, and medium, height wize he is the small side of medium. (stocky) Some people call dals large they are really smaller than you might think. Niņo's coat is size XL, what idiot did that! I think it it was mislabled

In my experiences, size went by inches and measurements or height, not by weight. Hehe.

Anyway yes, cockers and such in my opinion would be SMALL dogs, not medium. Chihuahuas and the like would be extra small.

Aussies and BCs are medium sized dogs and my favorite!! I would own medium, but I would also own any size larger.

My favorite is Medium + dogs and thats probably all I'll own in the future. I have 3 small dogs (two twenty pounders and an eight pounder) and wouldn't trade them for the world but the worst feature of the little dog (jmo) is housetraining issues. If their schedule is thrown off the littlist bit they will potty in the house and I hate it!

Crazy_caique, just to clarify, there is no such thing as "Teacup" or "Tiny Toy" dogs. They're simply Toy breeds that are often no smaller than the standard size! BYBs and pup millers just use that term as a selling gimmick. Oftentimes, these dogs run *over* the weight limit, LOL.

Me, I love extra large dogs!!! It's no surprise considering my favorite breeds are Greyhounds, Borzois, Dobermans, etc. I like big dogs whose mere appearance wards off intruders.
