My cat Sonny looks like his ear is bruised and there is a small purple dot. I'm thinking that him and our other cat were fighting and he got bit or scratched. I've never seen bruising before...should I be worried?

Personally I have never seen bruising on any animal so I really couldn't tell if that is the problem. I just wanted to say to keep an eye on it and if it should get worse in a day or two, then maybe you should have a vet look at it.
Good luck.

Sounds to me like he was playing and might have been bit a little too hard. There's really nothing to worry about unless the spot gets larger, changes colors, or a large lump starts to form.
This happens to Jamie and Charlie sometimes.![]()
thank you for your input, I'll keep an eye on it. It doesn't seem to be bothering him but he does pull away when I try to touch it.
