Here is a photo I sent in for a local newspapers contest. I'm not sure if he'll even be a finalist because when I resized the photo to their specifications, it looked all distorted. I have a feeling it's the incorrect dimensions. That'll stink. But I just think it's the cutest photo of my best friend and I had to brag...I mean share.

Why not crop the picture instead of resizing it?? You could resize so the smallest side is to the newspaper's guidelines and crop the rest. Then it won't be distorted!
PS also after resizing, sharpen the image!

I tried that but it still didn't work. Thanks for the suggestion though. I'll just have to wait 2 weeks to see if his picture appears in the paper. Then I can ask all of you to vote!

Oh my goodness, that is an adorable picture! I always have thought Fenway was a cutie-pie, but that picture is precious. I hope the picture is able to get into the paper.

No, the picture I sent in for the contest is skinnier. But it's the exact size they requested. So I just don't know. Maybe they want skinny pictures?
