    Something odd

Our pit, hunny has been having a lot of discharge from her eyes. We have kept them clean every day and every night. Is there any home treatment? Until next week? When our ssi arrives. Johnny was just a litte worried and asked me to talk to someone on PetTalk. So i figure that I should. since hes not a computer person like I am.

    Keep me posted.

    Accord,

The same thing happened to my corgi last fall. We took her to the vet and got some antibiotics for her eyes, it cleared up then came back as soon as the medicine was gone. Turned out she had indoor allergies, since the symptoms started after we had first turned on the heat for the season and we lived in a very old house at the time (so the heat kicked up dust and who knows what else). The discharge went away on its own after a few weeks, and I haven't had a problem since then...
I would take your dog to the vet to find out his/her opinion and maybe get some medicine for her since I'm not aware of any home remedies and you want to be sure what the problem is first. I hope your dog feels better soon!

    just green eye boogers (sorry)
Ok, Ill have a vet check on it next week since we get our SSI next week on monday. I guess Ill have to stick with home cleaning her eyes for now, they aren't so bad... but its just been like that for a week. Shes outside during the day, cause she loves the warm sun. Shes in the house when invited. So basically between 3 to 5 times a week. Of course, when there's a storm shes in always. Lucky doesn't have any problems as far as I know. Hes happy and loving.

Your best going to the vet if the discharge is greenish/yellowish. That always means some sort of infection, and you don't want to chance it with the eyes. Eyes can be very sensative.

    Agrees

I will do that. Just waiting for time to fly by... Because most vets here say money up front now... most dont accept payments. But since they said its not that bad and can provide eye ointment, they just want us to show up when we have money. So thats what we will do... Golly hurry up weekend... then Monday "us treasury payday" pay bills first, whats left goes to vet visit

Could be conjunctivitis (sp?) Nebo had that when I brought him home as a pup and it was greenish color. The vet gave me an ointment to put in his eyes and it cleared up in a few days.
