    Mock attack in retaliation

When young Rasputin (6 months) is a bit excited, for instance if we didn't give him food when he wanted it, or if we pulled him off a favourite garment he was ruining, he will run behind the "guilty" person, and jump at us from behind, slamming his paws at our legs (with withdrawn claws though thankfully), like a little lion jumping on a prey. It is very amusing; when he is really worked up he can "attack" 5 or 6 times in a row.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour in a cat before?

I should add that the "attack" is not in any way aggressive, and he is a very sweet playful cat, not grumpy whatsoever.

    been there

i bought two brothers one for me and one for my gilfriend when we first moved in together. i named mine bucky after the get fuzzy comic strip and he grew into it. if u don't pet him he walks down to your thigh and then he straddles it and bites. and he can get a good chunk too. i also have an aquarium 55gallon with a lizard that i feed mice to. if i dont buy two mice and give him one to kill he will . get angry and attack me. and i cant get him to stop . hell do it for up to 3 days . thats when i gave him one and he stopped.tell me thats not wierd

Our cat Indigo is a secret sweetie. She likes to pretend that she is a grouch and doesn't care about anything, but she is always there to greet me when I come home, and she likes to crawl onto my chest when I am lying down, and knead with her paws while she nuzzles with her mouth. However - if you mess with her paws, her tail, or her mouth - or if you just mess with her in a teasing way, petting her belly or scritching her too much on her back - she can show you a quick response of "mock attack." What she does is lunge out with her head like a serpent, and *very* gently put her teeth on you, but not so as to hurt - and then immediately afterward, she licks, as if to say, "But I didn't really mean that." She is a great cat.
