I do it myself when they need it, but I have the vet do it when they go for their shots. They get their annuals in March and usually go to the vet with long nails because they don't wear down much in winter. The vet must think bad of me for this but I don't need to cut them much in the summer, they wear down to nothing with our daily long walks and lots of outside time.

I used to clip their nails myself once a week but now we take them to a friend of ours who uses a dremel, it gets the nails a lot shorter without any bleeding plus the dogs seem to prefer it.....

Yes I clip all the dogs nails myself. Nebo's the most often, it drives me crazy if his nails aren't as short as possible.

I clip my dogs nails as well as my friends dogs nails, well I personally clip Happy and Mistys nails and Blairs, as well as Shadows and Dakotas, I help my mom clip Perkys and Ripleys nails, Ripley because a long time ago my mom accendently clipped into the quick and he freaked out, now he wont let anyone near his feet without PB lol and Perky is a good dog about her nails, but she found out the Ripley gets PB and she though "hey thats not fair" so now she intentially acts up so she will get PB too lol I have a hrad time with Dakotas nails, and PB is out of the question because he is the first dog I have ever met that HATES Peanut butter lol he is so big I need my friend to hold him still for me

Kodie and Lucys nails never need to be cut. They go for walks on pavement twice a day,and that keeps them nice and short.
I file Lucys nails though, they can get sharp.

Yes I do both of mine too. I used to do them every two weeks but have stepped it up to every week. Bella's nails are easy to do (clear) and she is very cooperative. Ripley's are black and I admit to being nervous when I do them so I take very little off each week. When he first came to live here I cut them too short and he bled and I don't ever want to do that again because then he might be afraid of the whole process.

Do you clip your dogs nails

Well I have in the past [but scared too] due to one time I clipped to short & was just sick about it.. So now the Vet does the dogs.. But now I do my cats all the time.. I know their paws very well & am comfortable with them..
