Yay, I got a tug toy for Zeke ;)

Someone gave me their tug toy for Zeke at flyball...he LOVES it.

I used it today. He did so well! He tugged while other dogs were around him too. He even ran and they told me he wasn't focusing on the dogs in the other lane yay!I've been working SO hard with him lately, and I think it's STARTING to pay off...we still have A LOT of work ahead before he is an offical tourney dog XD They told me he ran 4.7...which is good considering he's only starting..and not racing other dogs. They tell me he should run low 4's once he figures it all out ! He appearintly has the flexiblity to do really good "swimmer's turns" and has a natural stride between jumps. I'm really proud of how he's doing.

Also, I TRIED to make my own tug...it's done the same style as theone above, only you can't really tell cause it's all one color.

I put a ball on thisone, cause he really loves the ball.

CONGRATS ZEKE! I love the tug, it is so cute! How do you make them? I think I want to make one for Niño, he loves that kind of thing. Also, how did you cut a hole in the ball?

Zeke loves it! Maybe cause it's softer on their mouths?? Duno? It's really cheap to make. I got a meter of fleece and cut it into 4 strips.

is the pattern I used. (tells you how to make it)

I used a really sharp knife to cut the holes

Thanks! I'll see if I can get to the fabric store this week, they usually have pre-cut long scraps of fleece on sale.

It's great to hear that he's doing so well in flyball! I've been looking for a rope like that for Tango, I think I'm going to try making one sometime this week.....

what a good boy Zeke! I LOVE fleece tugs, they really do come in handy Gonzo has a normal fleece tug and one that also has a clip on one end so you can use it as a leash to walk them to the course.
