    Y'all asked for them....Deuce pics...

I spent most of today in Deuce's pen. Last summer we cut down a bunch of trees in there and then the wind knocked even more over last fall. They are all nice and dry now. Perfect for the new woodstove. So far I've hauled about three cords of wood out--there's lots left in there and we need way more than that to get through the winter! But whenever the chainsaw ran out of gas or I needed a break, I took pictures of Deuce and company.

"Guys, I think she's coming to see us"
(He's standing on top of his dog house in his sleeping pen. Deuce has his own pen to sleep in so Raven gets a break from him. He can't jump over and even if he could, he just ends up in another pen. There are four gates to go through to get into their pen!

Mac.."I think you're right Deuce and I think she has treats!"

The boys waiting for their treats. Antare, Mac & Deuce. Raven also lives with them, but she wouldn't pose for pictures today. Far too busy sleeping in the husky barn.

    Bring on the treats, Mom!!

    More coming............

In his favorite place, on top of a dog house. I rarely see him inside the dog houses, but he loves to hang out on the tops.

    "Raven, stop that, it tickles!"

"Just a minute, Mom, these flies are buggin me. "
Do not visit the Yukon in September. The black flies are awful! I had on full bug gear today, including a face mask. DEET does nothing to these little demons. The dogs get horse bug repellent put on them every day, but I'm not sure it helps a whole lot!

"Ok, rolling around got rid of them for a minute. What did you want?"
I wanted to rake where he was laying, but I gave up!

My handsome boy! The bump on his nose is still there, no worse, no better. It doesn't bother him at all though so I'm just leaving it alone.

    That's all for now................

The pictures are gorgeous Glacier!! Deuce is such a handsome man. We love seeing pics of your dogs. They actually look like they could be talking in those photos. Is it getting cold there yet or are you working in shortsleeves? It's still like summer here basically but cooling down a little.

No shortsleeves here! I wore a sweatshirt and a waterproof jacket today--it was sprinkling occasionally. It's definately fall here. I have my windshield scraper back out. I've had to use it a couple mornings now. I cleaned my greenhouse out yesterday. It's getting cold enough to freeze in there a night now.

OOOOuuuu, I just love seeing your huskies!!!!
I really like all three boys waiting for treats - being such good dogs, sitting pretty, waggin tails, big smiles! And the one of Antare being tickled is terrific, what a great expression on his face. Thanks for sharing your sweeties with us!

I just can't get over how happy he looks! It really shows that he's got a great home.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

I absolutely love the one of all three of them. That is a good enough picture to put in a frame.
