    So excited

Thanks to the great advice I've been given here and reading all the postings I am thrilled to say that Tobey and Brody have just spent an evening in the same room without beating the **** out of each other!!

I was able to watch over them and discipline Tobey in a way that made it bearable for all concerned! Thank you

Bottom line is that I have to treat him like a dog not a fluffy toy! We have had so much fun this evening training/playing

Yay! How'd you manage that? Both of my cats are still pretty scared of Roscoe (he is really huge! ) and they can't seem to get along (at least not yet, we're working on it ) Did Brody & Tobey play together at all?

They didn't really play but Brody was able to rub against Tobey without being chased! I just kept telling him to be gentle and heaping tons of praise on him.......... Only a small step but its in the right direction

LOL the 'rub' is a really good sign. How long have you had the two of them?

When I first brought Mika home, a full-grown lab/boxer, my two cats were not impressed, even though they'd been with dogs all their lives. Even I got shredded by one of the cats! It took about a week and now they will even cuddle together. It's so cool when they become buddies, even if it's only just tolerating each other.
