Ringworms are sooooo contagious. And they can be spread to humans. Personally, I wouldn't waste time on home remedies, I would get it fixed ASAP. A guy at my gym got ringworms...he used athletes feet cream for it. BUT it took months for them to go away and he'd spread it to the rest of us by the time his went away.
I'll echo what Tonya said - it's contagious and icky - to the vet right quick!![]()
yes go to the vet asap...I think paying a couple bucks (okay so maybe abit more than a couple...) would be alot easier than having the hassle of everyone else getting it.

When we were in Oregon last year all 3 of our dogs got ringworm and we used the athletes feet cream & spray & it went away before it was passed on to us humans. We applied it a few times a day and I think the spray works better.
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.

A friend of mine had a litter of boxer puppies that contracted ring worm when the vet cropped their tails. She eliminated the problem by making a paste of aspirin & iodine & applying it to the ring worm.
My mother applied the milk from a fig treee to a ring worm I'd contracted as a child. It's supposed to dry it up.

I have heard using Rubbing Alcohol works on killing the ring worm. Maybe even Petroleum jelly. Make sure it is applied with rubber gloves!!! It is HIGHLY contagious. There may be some over the counter options.
Ring worm is transferred through the nose or feet/paws. The dog smell the infected "poo" and it goes up their noses. So make sure they don't "sniff" poo if possible. I make my dog's avoid piles when on leashes.![]()
My dogs got infected and the treatment wasn't that expensive. Some medicines are applied into the nasal cavity directly and others are oral. I had 4 dogs that had to be treated. It took about a month of medication taken once a week. I think it was less than $150 for all of them including the vet visit. The doctor gave me enough to treat all 4 even though 1 was diagnosed. Good luck!
