    New apparatus for Malfi...

I thought it would be a good idea to have some stairs for Malfi to get up and down off of our bed, because of his bad leg. I searched the internet and was outraged at the price and how long it would take to get them, so 1 1/2 days later I finished these homemade stairs.

Bella loves to sit on them.

Snowy likes to scratch on them.

Even after showing him how, Malfi has yet to use them. He's still jumping off the side of the bed.

    Thanks,

Snowy is a 'shaded' blue point. But in the photo those are shadows on him.

Malfi is a blue point too, but even at his much older age, his body is still creamy white. He never got his 'shading'.
I think they are both handsome boys.

My Bella is a mixed up Tortie Point girl. At least 6 separate colors on her coat.

You can make these stairs too, with some plywood, carpet, and a jigsaw, and drill.

    Ask me how.

Of course Almalfi won't use it- it's for him But I'm glad to see Bella and Snowy back. The Bella girl is a little more plush than she used to be.

I love the design of the stairs- you are very skilled.

If you only knew what the back/inside looks like.
There are bent nails, extra holes.
And, those cute square cut outs on the sides were not in the plans. I used L brackets with 1" screws, and the plywood was only 3/8". So the screws poked out. After trying to file them down with the dremel tool (lots o'sparks) I gave up and added the 'decorative' squares', so no one would get a nice sharp screw in the leg.

Oh, and today, Bella is limping. I have no idea why. Maybe she hurt herself on those darn stairs (that Malfi won't use)

Bella is surely going to weigh in at 10lbs at the vet next week.
She's not a tiny girl, she's definitely got a 'pooch'. She sure is plush though.

I had to buy Bella a special soft carrier. Because she is SO distraught at being 'inside' something and 'away' from mama, she self-destructs.
Only cat I've ever seen at the vet, who doesn't want to go back in the 'safety' of the carrier. She turns into a giraffe. All legs, pushing, struggling...

I got a very nice carrier at Big Lots.
    BackYard Pet
    Soft Pet Home.

What I like about it is, it has braces that support the walls, and it doesn't collapse on the cat.

She can't hurt herself on the mesh, either.

Geez, I can't wait till Wednesday.

10 lb! Filou is 7,5, Tigris is 13 so she is in between

I still like your stairs. I can imagine however. I used to be like that when I knitted or crocheted- the outside is ok, but the inside
