    Munsinger/Clemens Garden photos (dial-up warning)

I realize I haven't been posting much for awhile now.. I have not been well and have had a lot of stress going on in my life and it has been hard for me to make it here and harder still to really participate. I want this to be a positive, upbeat post though so on to the explanation and then pictures.

David and I went to Munsinger/Clemens Gardens this morning for a beautiful walk. We were married here, but don't come very often because, understandably, dogs are not allowed and when we do go out and walk we usually want to take the dogs. However it was such a beautiful morning and we hadn't been for about a year so we went out there and I took quite a few pictures. Munsinger Gardens are the informal gardens area and Clemens gardens are the formal gardens area. Part of the Clemens Gardens is the Virginia Clemens Rose Garden with hundreds of varieties of roses.

Some of the pics I'm really pleased with but it's hard for any of them to do true justice to the scope and the beauty of the place as a whole. Some of the plants and flowers I am familiar with, some I am not, but this time I'm not going to try and label them all, I'm just going to post the pictures.

This one was shaped like a heart. These two ladies nearby just would not move so I finally snapped the pic with them standing there.

Juniper lined path up to the formal gardens area.

These are the formal gardens (Clemens Gardens).

I truly did enjoy them! Wow, what beautiful pictures. Looks like a wonderful place to go and relax and enjoy the beauty. What a great place to be married. Jess, I just got home from the store and had to plop down here to see if anything new had been posted. I was so happy to see your name! I'm so glad that you stopped by and shared your pics with us. You know I'm here for you.

It is too hard to pick out a favorite but I really like the rose that you said you loved and the one with the butterflies. They were all so pretty.

Jessica, how good is to see this thread from you. I have missed you very much. The pictures are absolutely lovely. I'm taken aback with the beauty. Getting married there must have been perfect. It's one of the most spectacular gardens I've ever seen. I love seeing all the varieties of plants that we don't have here in Florida, as well as some tropicals that do grow here. Each picture looks like a professional photograph. Thanks for sharing and I certainly hope you'll be feeling better very soon. You are an inspiration to many of us here at Pet Talk. Take care and please give the furkids kisses for us.

Jessica, those are wonderful photographs! What an incredible place to have been married, and, that's so cool that you visit there. I can see why they wouldn't allow dogs...I'm glad you went, though, I love seeing flowers!

Thank you very much for the compliments, and even more so for the caring, concerned and heartwarming replies here. Truly I just feel moved to tears. You all are so precious to me, I truly treasure you. Thank you again, and I hope perhaps I'll be able to be back to my normal level of participation again before too long. {{hugs}} all around.

P.S. Almost forgot to answer you M&I mommy, it's in St. Cloud, Minnesota

I think all the pictures you take are truly amazing! These pictures are stunning. What a beautiful place to be married. I love the picture with the butterfly. Would it be ok if i used it for my desk top? I'm so glad you posted these, they did brighten my day.

Please feel more than free to use it Donna. I'm glad it brightened your day. I'll attach the full size of that picture too if you'd like to use it. I cropped it down mostly the butterflies in the pic I posted above.
