    Lazing on a sunny afternoon

A friend of my grandmother's always used to say she would come back as a cat. It was a remark that I really didn't understand as a child, but now I think I know exactly what she meant.

On Sunday, while we tidied, cleaned, dealt with some mail, tidied the garden etc, the cats were also busy .... sleeping!

That is SO funny! They look like big, furry, cute rocks!!!! (no offense, but they do!)

They blend right in. Don't you love how they choose to sleep in the dirt. There is nothing better than when they come in and you forget where they were sleeping and you go to give them a kiss and get a mouth full of dirt.

WONDERFUL! Sunbathing kitties! How cute is that?

My sister and I always said we wanted to come back in our next life as a cat but after helping out at a kill shelter, I told her NO WE DON'T!! Our babies are the lucky ones that have a great home where someone adores them but there are so many that live a life of H*LL.

Seeing how some have to live, makes me just love my babies even more and my biggest fear is somehow they get out and wander off and have to live like the homeless ones do.

What a great life they have. Isn't it amazing how they choose to roll in the dirt when there's a perfectly soft lawn right next to them, but they certainly enjoy it!! Who is that with all paws up? SOOO cute!!

Yep, I want to come back as a big fat spoiled cat who gets to lounge in the sun while my humans slave around me too.

They are adorable all sprawled out in the dirt!

Let me see, we've got nice clean smooth soft cool grass to lay on or hard dry dirty clumpy hot dirt, which do we choose? Such difficult decisions.

Awwwww, just look a Meowmie's helpers. They are just making sure the dirt doesn't blow all over the place.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Of course I'd like to come back as a cat- but as a Pet Talker's cat

I also think these are a very tasteful garden decoration in colours that simply blend in

Not at all! The cutie pies are practising camouflage...wishing they can sleep longer, he-he!

  11. They are well color-coordinated! Such a sense of style.

I think the mud holds more cool air than the grass....at least that is what Edwina and Eddie tell me when they wallow in it!

That is Samantha rolling around with all her paws in the air. Jessica is the one glowering from behind the tub.
