Please take a moment and sign this petition and pass along. It's about time antifreeze was made unpalatable to animals and children!

Instead of adding a substance to antifreeze to make it less attractive, why not just use safer antifreeze?

It's still necessary to add bittering agents to what's already being produced IMO. It should ALL be made safer.

QS, here's where we disagree. Instead of forcing bittering agents into the current product, why not try to eliminate the product entirely? There is a safe alternative, which is just as effective and better for the environment, so instead of trying to put a bandaid on the problem we should get rid of the problem entirely. Anytime there is a safer alternative it should be used. The country got rid of Leaded fuel, this should be easier as it will require no changes to the engines in use, just a change in coolant.

Barring that, I agree with the bittering agents, but again, I hate to see bandaids put on problems instead of fixing the problem entirely.
