    New Foster, "Buddy"

Well, we got our new foster yesterday. He's was pulled from a shelter in OR that was so overcrowded they were euthing 100 dogs that day.

Buddy was one of the lucky ones.

He's shy, but just a love. He's very comfortable out in the yard and spent all day yesterday laying next to Patrick's kennel. He's timid in the house but did fine with being tethered with other dogs in the room. And he crated like a dream! Went in there and didn't hear a peep out of him all night.

He got a bath and ears cleaned and is starting to look like a new dog!

Here he is checking out the yard:

Kind of a close up, he's so shy it's hard to get a pic of his face. The marks you see on his face are the results of being attacked by a lab at the shelter. Apparently he just rolled onto his back ans waited for it to be over...

    Peeing on the Staghorn Sumac:

    Visiting Patrick:

Surveying his domain and deciding this place might not be so bad after all!

Well, there were 2-3 dogs per run because of overcrowding. They broke them up right away, but Buddy was prepared for the worse. The bites are superficial, but still fairly fresh.

They also pulled a 5 month old purebred Vizla, a 9 month old pb GSP and pb Shar Pei. And people think you can't get purebreds from a shelter!

He's gorgeous, I'm so glad you were able to rescue him. That's so sad about all the other dogs, though. What a rough day it must have been for the folks having to do all those euthanizations.
