What I did for my birthday...by Bon

Hey Guys! It's Bon here!
Mommy said since today is my special day I could do a little posting of my own!

Yeppers, I'm the big O-N-E today! But I think our mayor Karen said it best in my birthday thread, I'm still a growing puppy!
And ya know what? I heard mommy telling Aunt Robin, if she had it her way I'd still be that little boy she came home with. No way...a boys gotta grow up

It was pretty hot out today and let me tell you, I don't like hot weather! I'd much rather stay inside with the air on!
So we just pretty much vegged out for most of the day (just the way I like it!)

Then when evening came and mommy got done talking to aunt Robin we went out for a birthday celebration...just me and mommy

First we went to the pet store and I got some yummy bones

Then it was back to the dogmobile

and off to get ice cream!

Boy that stuff is COLD, but GOOD!
Then we got to do something I've never done before, we went into town and walked on the new bike path (first time I ever seen bikes too and I was sooo good mommy said!). I was kinda afraid at first but then I got used to it.

Mommy "tried" to make me pose, but I was more interested in sniffing the river air


Let me tell you, those girls were sooo jealous when I got home! They sniffed me everywhere


I had such a good time today doing different stuff and going new places. Maybe mommy will take me more now that she sees I'm a good boy
That was it for my day and now I must get some sleep...I'm soooo tired!

I must admit my little boy did very good today on our little excursion. He did forget to tell you he went to the vets office to get weighed and acted like a little baby (guess he didn't want everyone to know about that). He still weighs 130 and she said don't worry that he's not gained any weight...it's summer and now he will gradualy gain weight.
And if your wondering why he's eating his ice cream in his kennel, he was too afraid of the passing cars to eat it outside..lol..guess he forgot that little tidbit too..lol

Hey there, Bon! So glad you got to fill us in on your day. Mommy said you guys were being pretty lazy today so I wasn't for sure if you were going to go out. It sounds like you two had a nice time. I knew you would be good! Love the pictures and that bike path looks pretty cool. We have something like that too and Katie and Tori like to take a walk on our's also. That ice cream sure looked yummy and made me want some too.

Bon, you are such a beautiful boy and a very good poster. Your Mom is so proud of you and we can surely see why. We have to say that you have the bestest mom ever big guy!! How lucky you both are to have each other. What a special day you had and nothing could make us happier than that.
