New Pictures Of Starr & Update

Hi, Starr is doing very well except for the fact that he still has coccidia and is very gassy at times. He's a very loving, happy, purring, and active kitten. Storm has stopped hissing at him, Sky has licked his head a few times and loves playing pawsies with him, and Sunny still doesn't know whether he likes him or not but he's not as afraid of him and finds him very interesting. Most of the pictures that I took turned out blurry because Starr wouldn't sit still long enough but here are the better ones. Enjoy!

    More pictures in next post.>>>>>>>>

Starr is such a cutie pie. One question. Is it safe for the other kitties for Starr to be playing with them with the coccidia? None of mine have ever had it (knock on wood) so I don't really know.

awwwww!!! Starr is such a beautiful and happy looking kitten Those are some good pictures, too. I know what you mean about being difficult to catch a kitten holding still (unless sleeping) but you took some very good pictures of Starr in action! I am so glad he is finally home with you and know that Coccidia will clear up eventually.

Lizzie & Robbie picked up an assortment nasties from their mamma. The organisms kept multiplying as one was killed off with many different antibiotics while yet another bug would take over and so they fought the diarrhea for - probably about for months or more. (it also was begun as coccidia treated with Albon) The older cats would catch it but were able to get better within a day or two on their own. My vet had only one more drug to try - Flagyl that the pharmacy would have to formulate - but everyone got bigger and beat the nasties when their immune systems were more mature and we did not have to try that last drug. So, there are times when the bugs just don't die off but it will resolve on its own eventually. The older ones are able to fight it off without medicine. Just thought this might be helpful if you have a stubborn case with Starr.

What a little sweetheart. I hope that he is feeling better real soon. Starr try and sit still for a bit now and then so Meowmie can take more pictures of you.

Thanks so much kittycats_delight for the beautiful siggy and avatar of my kids!

Thanks for all of the nice comments everyone.

I was told by my vet that the only way for my other cats to get coccidia is by sharing the same litter box or by licking Starr's bottom. I haven't let them play with him yet. Sky only plays pawsies through his cage. I also won't let my furkids sniff his bottom either.

  13. Starr has such a wise face for such a young kitty!

Oh Starr is just a precious baby. I can not wait to see how he changes with his colors...you can just barely make out his stripes right now but I bet in a few months he will come into his colors.
