Now what can I do for her?

My kitty Peek-a-Boo was lost for a whole entire week, and now she is severly under weight. Before she was really light and looked like she wasn't getting enough food (it's available 24/7) What should I do for her, what I have done is comfort her, left food and water on all floors of the house, and watch her to make sure that no injuries/illnesses came to her. Is there anything else that I can do?

    Thanks,
    Steph and Jes

You may give her kitten food as this is usually higher in calories than the normal food. But if she is not back to her old weight real soon you better take her to the vet.

She could be dehydrated as well and maybe need some fluids injected.

    All the best for her

NutriCal is a high calorie paste that cats love. Also kitten food is high in calories and protein, which is what she needs right now.

Okay!-Thank you very much! She has started to gain a little more weight all ready. We have been feeding her higher calorie food, and it is helping. She does not seem dehydrated, though. Her skin isn't flabby and she isn't resless or anything. We will keep watching for any signs though. Thanks again
