    Peanut, the dachshund

Hey, everyone! I went over to my brother's last night. My niece and nephew (mostly my niece) have a cute little dachshund named Peanut. He's got so much personality, and, I've been trying for weeks to get some good shots of him. The trick is, I found out, not to take them with the carpet as the background. He is almost the same color! So, here's....Peanut!

Some of the first ones I took, a few days ago....

yesterday, resting in my mom's arms...

this is one of my favorites, i wish i had a program to change the background.....i probably do, and, just don't know it!

    more to come....

It's so cute, my brother and his son were outside playing with the nerf football. peanut was running all over, trying to catch it. i couldn't get him on the digital camera, he's so quick and the camera's slow! i really need to get my 35 mm camera back out! but, here he is with the ball in his mouth (it's so BIG!). my mom and i were cracking up, it was so funny!

he was so funny. when he'd get the ball, he'd take it up the stairs, set it down, push the door open (it was almost completely closed), pick up the ball, and, run inside with it. and, my brother, john, was narrating the whole time, because apparently, this is what he does all the time when he's ready to go in.

And, another favorite....he looks like a little guard dog, this turned out great. i had that same welcome mat back in texas! i told john about it, and, he had to have one. it's all natural, made out of coconut husk fibers!

Very cute. I love the fact that Peanut puts his toys away, even when they aren't his toys . Also, love the welcome (?) mat.

I know, is it? Ha ha, that's why I love it! I saw one once that just said "EXIT" on it. Same kinda concept!

Peanut is so cute. I love the picture where he is running with the football that is almost twice the size as him.
