Just a question about PT & birthdays...

I notice that many of the PTers on here get "Happy Birthday" wishes from other PTers on or around their birthdays. Like many other PTers, I have my birthday in my user profile, and it was on Monday, June 13. I didn't know if this was something that only happens with people who have been PTers longer, or people who are here more frequently than I am, but I was just curious how that worked.

Awww! Don't feel bad. My birthday slipped under the radar too. I think a lot of it is that there are so many people around on PT that getting a birthday thread going for everyone can be a bit daunting.

But anyway...

I know when I log in I usually check on main at the bottom to see whose birthday it is. And if I recognize the name I will first check to see if anyone has made a birthday thread and if not then I will make one. I think everyone should be made feel special on their birthday. Sorry I missed both your birthday. I will just have to make that up by making you both a bithday card. Happy Belated Birthday Lacey and Jayne.

Every day, you can see on the bottom of the index-page who is having his/her birthday that day. When you see a person you like there, you can always open a thread with congrats; of course, as there are so many members, I usually forget to have a look. In that way, I missed lots already. Sorry for missing yours: HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!

Thanks to all of you so far and to all of you (in the future) who have or will wish happy birthday. I'll have to keep track of the birthdays better when I'm on here as well.

Maybe each month there should be a birthday thread for all who have a birthday that month. Just a thought - it would make it easier for everybody to feel special around their birthdays.

Well, gotta go for now. It's been great looking at all of the great pictures on here and catching up after being away for a little while.

Rie, my daughter started me a birthday thread a day or two before mine since I was in Norfolk, Va. under stressful circumstances, it was an especially nice surprise and really meant a lot to me.

JUNE people are the GREATEST so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! We could share a cake since ours are so close (Mine is the 10th.) Maybe next year we can share one!!

We, as a group, try to remember too look at the birthday listings at the bottom of home page and someone will usually start a thread. but many birthdays seem to get passed by due to time restraints etc. I rarely start one myself, as someone usually beats me to it. And I personally don't get to the general board all that often to post or respond. I presume there are many like me.

Any way, Happy Belated birthday!!!! I am so sorry we missed it.

I think the reason that some don't get a Birthday thread is, that there are sometimes so many names on the birthday list, and people only know a few of them - because they never post. Some even have more than one username.

Perhaps it's time for another spring cleaning, Paul!
