Dozer with other dogs

My dog get overly excited around other dogs, does anyone have any idea's on how to change this behavior? He loves all other dogs, but when I take him for a walk and he see's another dog he gets so excited, and cries and sometimes will pee on the ground. Dozer is about 2 1/2 years old and he has been this way since I got him when he was 6 months old? Help please

I am no expert on this kind of stuff, but have you tried getting another dog of the same breed? Maybe if he has a friend to play with all the time he won't get so excitied when he sees another dog. If for whatever reason you can't get another dog right now, you should take him to someones house that has some dogs and just let him run around and play with them. Maybe this will take some of the excitement out of him.

I don't know what to say but maybe you should distract him when another dog is around for example like if another dog is tied toa tree outside and you walking passed it with your dog just distract him with a few words and maybe he won't care so much about that other dog! I dunno id it'll work cause I have 2 dogs boy and a girl and they don't care about any other dog they just bark at them!!!! LOL Sorry

This is the ideal time to take your dog to a training class. It is socialisation that he needs more than anything else. Explain to the class instructor before you arrive how your dog reacts to other dogs and be prepared to have fun! Good luck.
