    Farnam Bio Spot?

Someone I work with bought Bio Spot from Petsmart (flea/tick prevention) and was asking around to make sure it is safe. We tried to do some research, but did not find much. I thought maybe you guys could help. Anyone know anything about this stuff? It's claims to be somewhat like advantage or frontline. Thanks!

I don't know anything about it, but I have seen it. I'm sticking to Frontline, myself. OTC substitutes make me nervous!

It would make me nervous too, I personally would not use it. I told my co-worker I'd check it out though...Maybe I should tell her to throw it away and just buy frontline?

    Used it

I think I may have used it in the past. It isn't as strong as the kind you get in the Vet's office. It does work some depending on the amount of fleas though. If just a few then it may be okay. Haven't had any bad reactions from the stuff.
I do recommend adding Brewer's yeast to the dog's diet to help with flea prevention. It also helps with the coat. I use Adam's spray that is OTC for fleas after baths. That is VERY good product and worth the money.
There is a product for yard flea control that is called BIO something... It uses nematodes a natural live organism that lives to kill fleas if your friend wants something "organic" to combat fleas. The product can be hard to find but it does yield good results.
Scooby, Shaggy the "Dogs", Ms. Thang the "Cat" and introducing Measley Weasle "The Ferret".

I've heard very bad things about Bio Spot. It is a Hartz product, and all chemical products made by Hartz should be avoided altogether.

    I just looked it up..

I didn't realize that Bio Spot is a Hartz product. I know that Hartz is bad, I will never buy any of their products. I'll tell my friend to return it and use something safe. Thanks for the info!

My X use to use Bio Spot on Pepper.
The product never hurt her nor the fleas.

I think he switched to Front line recently.
