This is Dusty. He was given to me on my tenth birthday, September 18, 1986. He passed away on December 12, 2003. He's buried underneath our deck here at the condo. He was a wonderful friend. These photos were taken within a week of getting Dusty. You can see why we named him that.

And, yeah, that's me.

Here he is with my step brother. Not sure how old he is here, but, these next few were in South Carolina, so, he wasn't three, yet. I think he was just about a year maybe. His markings were really distinct.

You can see his color is already changing....

don't laugh, i had a perm. it was just what you did back then.

and, you can see he's getting kinda chunky.

I'm getting old, I think..........but did we talk about the fact that we have the same birthday? I think we did! Of course, I'm 14 years older than you, but still, I don't know a whole lot of people who have a birthday on Sept. 18.

Yeah, we had talked about that! And, thank you, Dusty was a very sweet cat. I did a personality test, actually, and Dusty was a "godfather" type.

It's soo nice that you have these great photos with your pets from years gone by. Really must leave a nice feeling to look at them and remember a special memory of what one or the other used to do that you loved.
