    Learn From a Dog

If a dog was the teacher you would learn stuff like:
    >
    >When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
    >
    >
    >Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
    >
    >Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be
    >pure ecstasy.
    >
    >When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.
    >
    >
    >Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
    >
    >
    >Take naps.
    >
    >Stretch before rising.
    >
    >Run, romp, and play daily.
    >
    >
    >Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
    >
    >
    >Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
    >
    >On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
    >
    >
    >On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
    >
    >When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
    >
    >
    >No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and
    >pout..! run right back and make friends.
    >
    >
    >
    >
    >Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
    >
    >Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
    >
    >
    >Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not.
    >
    >If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
    >
    >When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them
    >gently.
    >

Thank you Kay for the beautiful sig!

Very nice. I'm pretty much like a dog! Ha ha, a "free spirit", that's what my dad says.

Very nice I used to have a neighbor who was a highly intelligent vice president of a some sort of chemical company. He firmly believed that the world would be a much better place if it was run by dogs. He was a wonderful man to be around, and I am sure he would agree with this whole-heartedly.

I knew there was a reason I like most dogs better than people!

now if more people were like dogs - think of what a better world this would be?

My dogs have taught me so much about how to enjoy life and how to love and be loved. They are a wonderful example for Kids, and I know that my son would not be the wonderful, sweet boy he is if not for the love of three very special Goldens as he was growing up.

Thanks for sharing this - and give Jada a special kiss from me - I just love her sweet face!

Thanks, Amanda, for the wonderful siggy and avatar!

Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring - it was peace.
