    The Cranker

My mom's cat. He's so beautiful, and his baby blues are to die for, but he'll take your hand off if you try and pet him! He's about 11 years old now and has been this way from the day I brought him home for her. She had just had a heart attack and 5 bypasses and my dad told me to find a Ragdoll and bring him home to her. The only people he tolerates are my mom and dad and one of their friends (for some odd reason). Even my brother - who lives with them - is not part of the privileged inner circle. All you have to do is look at him and he gives you the evil eye and starts meowing dangerously at you.

So, here are some pics so you can gaze upon his beauty from afar - the safest place to be with him.

I just about had a heart attack. I was laying on the floor taking pics of him when all of a sudden he leapt at me! Turns out he was going for the camera strap so I got these closeups and short video. It's been 11 years since I've been this close to him!

    His true personality shines through.

And the video. He really doesn't play, so this was really quite the experience for him/me. To have him so close without taking my nose off and to have him playing - a momentous occassion to be sure.

Well, congratulations on your survival of a close encounter with Cranker!!

He is VERY handsome but I wouldn't like to mess with him. Seeing what little Filou did to me this one would eat my arm for breakfast

He really is the most gorgeous looking cat. Guess he'd rather be thought of as "mad, bad and dangerous to know"!

He is one gorgeous kitty! I'm glad he found refuge with your parents and accepted them! His looks remind me of our Bailey.

He is gorgeous, but I'll take your word on his meanstreak and appreciate his beauty from afar.

Those eyes came up bright and clear in the video. Such gorgeous eyes.

He is STUNNING! Being that beautiful, I guess he has to be "Cranky" or he would never have a moment alone! He would be messed with at my house 24/7 "cranky" or not! He is so beautiful that I would not be able to keep my hands off of him.

He is really quite a good looking boy! To bad he doesn't like to be patted. All that gorgeous fur, it would just be to hard for me to not be able to pick him up and cuddle him!

    What a handsome boy!

I'm surprised at his attitude though being a ragdoll and all.

Debbie at first I thought maybe you had given CJ a new nickname and I was kind of snickering to myself...but then I opened the post and say Cranker.....and I snickered even more.

What a handsome, distinguished gentleman....or should I say what a handsome, cranky old man.

OK, I absolutely refuse to believe that such a pretty kitty could be called Cranker. Why, if I met him, I'll bet I could roll him over and rub that fluffy tummy...... NOT!!

Debbie, thanks for posting. I'd ask you to pass on some scritches but...well...judging by our comments, you're going to need all 10 fingers at Gini's in July.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Look at those eyes!!! He is so handsome but those eyes against that blue carpet background are amazing! WOW! I guess he figures that anything that handsome can be cranky if he wants too!
