    My new "project". (foster)

We, at One By One cat rescue not only use foster homes, but we do have a shelter. I have been attempting to do as our name implies........place cats, one by one. I must say, that those that I have chosen from our shelter have most all gone on to new homes. I consider among my successes Tuscany, Rocky, Trinity, Maria and Jorge. These were all cats that I just "plucked" from the comfines of our shelter and brought into foster care.

Here, in my home, I learn about the cats. I try to then write up a more suitable bio for petfinder.com. They also get to come to ALL the adoption events (unlike the shelter residents who need to take turns)

Here is my newest acquisition. BLACKIE ! (NO, I did not name him)

It took him absolutely no time to feel at home here. He is relaxed and confident. He found the bed and started to do the happy feet.

He comes to me at the begining of "kitten season" so he will find it difficult to find a home of his own. But I will have the pleasure of his company until that time.

I still need to find out his "story", but it doesn't really matter. He is the one I have chosen.

Good luck with finding him his furever home. How old is he? I can't see the pictures, but it sounds like he's a wonderful kitty. I really admire people who do the things you do to help find new furever homes for homeless kitties.

    Jen,I was at Petcetera,and there was this Young Balck Cat,that was so very friendly,that I felt terrible,when i left,that room.Actually,there were 10 Cats,in that Room,all in Nice Cages,circa two yeatrs old,and I am still,a bit depressed,as they are All Cats,that would make superb Pets,if someone kind,would give them,a second chance.Poor Cats,they dont deserve,to be in cages,thier Guardians,that let them down,do.Blackie,looks like a winner,to us Jen,I hope,that he can beat,the odds,andhave a Happy Furr Ever Home.At least now Blackie,is with OUR HEROES!

What a handsome fellow he is! I'm sure with a mellow purrsonality that he appears to have, a home will be there for him sooner or later. It's tough competing with kittens, but with time they all seem to find a forever home. Give that guy some kisses for me please.
