Hello
In sept. we started trapping stray kitties that were hanging around our yard. We adopted several out, & Five of them adopted us & now let us reside with them in the house![]()
One of them, Ozzy, had a nasty cough when we got him & the cough spread to various other feline family members. The vet said it's probably rhino calisi (sp?) virus & it just needs to work its way through. He basically said it's like a human cold- cannot be cured.
Does anyone know what we can expect with this virus? we have 10 cats now & the virus seems to go from some to others- come & go & come again.
We have treated the symptoms with antibiotics- both oral & eye stuff (sometimes they get really boogery eyes)
All of our kitties are up to date on vaccinations & are spayed/nuetered.
Also, they are all properly spoiled & pampered.
They don't really ACT sick, but the cough is severe when it happens- it seems to just wrack them- but then they seem to hack it up & continue on with their day.
Any advice would be welcomed & appreciated
thanks
