    help

    hiya my cat has kittens this morning and was wondering if any 1 could tell me if there might be any more inside as she has got a real soft belly but in 1 part its got a real hard lump and feels like a kitten and her vagina is still open and she is still having a little blood any advice would be good help

    Usually it takes a total of 10 hours for a cat to deliver kittens. She will also have spotting (which is what I think you see). The "lump" you feel could very well be her uterus. As long as she's not having any contractions and trying to push, I wouldn't worry. Unless she gets lethargic, isn't nursing her babies, stops eating, using the litterbox and has a fever, she's probably okay. When in doubt, call the vet.

    I would watch her carefully. My Gidget had 2 babies then spotted a little a couple days later and almost a week later she had a still born baby which required a C-Section. Not trying to scare you, just might want to talk to your vet or keep a close eye on her.
