    Pics from Dawn's shower

    Dawn was trying to bathe in her water dish the other day so I grabbed my spray bottle and gave her a spritz. She reacted immediately by stretching her wings out so I kept going.. and going until she looked like she was ready to stop. After the first few sprays I grabbed the camera to get a few pics with one hand while spraying with the other. Thought I'd share! Used the flash on these due to poor lighting


    That's the spot!





















    She looks fat here but she's just really puffed out









    All done.. time to preen! She preened for like two hours straight afterwards!

    What wonderful pictures, Jessica! I wish Roger and Milly would like getting sprayed. They are so dusty. They will bathe on occasion, and I give them fresh "bath" water every day, but that spray down would be so good.

    OMG...I thought these pics were so cool! I loved them. I had to save a couple for my favorites. I can't explain why but I was just really taken by these pics. Dawn is so gorgeous and I loved how she had her wings spread out. Every time I see everyone's tiels it makes me want one so bad! I don't know a thing about them and I'm afraid it would drive the girls nuts if I got one. So for now I will just live through all the tiel owners here.

    Very cute! When it's warm enough I bring my guys outside in their "outside cage" and I mist them with the hose. They love it & afterwards I let them sit in the sun until they dry off.

    Sorry I haven't responded before now, but I wanted to thank you for the compliments of the pics and of my sweet girl. It seems like about once a week, she loves to take a serious bath/shower and get sopping wet. I think she does always look especially bright for a couple days afterwards. I was glad to have captured these pics of her enjoying the shower so much. Glad you enjoyed them!

    Dawn is such a pretty birdie. She has fun in her showers, doesn't she? Buttons hates them, hes too picky.

    Dawn looks so pretty in pictures, too. Her colors show up so nicely!
