Ewww Ewww Yuck Yuck!

This is so gross! We live right next to a river, and we often walk the dogs along the banks of it. Today, Mark took them, and on the way back he noticed millions and millions of these little black bugs crawling up from the sides of the river. We have never seen these bugs before, and guess what? I have about 10 of them in the house tonight.

*groooan* I hate creepy crawlies.

They are black, have longish bodies (but less than 1/4" in length), and long antennae on their heads. I will try and get a picture of one.

EWWWWWWWWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

ps Mark suggested they might be "snow fleas" but he has never seen one and I have never heard of them.

I was just reading some other websites, and they say they are harmless but very important to nature in the breakdown of plant material.

Sammy, they are all out in the woods down a mile stretch, and I'm sure farther. It's not really something that we can exterminate against.

Hopefully they will go away back to hiding soon!!!

Eeewww.. I'm itchy just thinking about it.

We're having a lot of bugs tonight too.. Hubby has tossed at least 5 bugs out the balcony door tonight. The cats have been going nuts chasing bugs all night. Blech.

LOL! I don't hate bugs but I tend to agree, especially when the ants begin their annual trek around my home!
