I added two new girls to my home today. Look inside to see what they are!

Hehe, yes I am sure there are many of you out there who must think I am nuts, but I can't help it. I have a soft spot for the creepy crawlies. Since my two Hissing Cockroaches passed away I was feeling a bit lonely, so I bought a new roach today. She's not a Hisser though, she's a Giant Cave Cockroach. She is AWESOME!!! She won't stay looking like this forever though. Once she molts a couple more times she will turn into an adult, loose the hard plate on her head, and grow very long pretty white wings. She is very sweet, but can be a bit hyper at times. I am already in love with her!

I also brought home a female walking stick. I was going to get a nymph but decided to get the adult. She just got done molting so is very fragile right now. She never wants to be put back. So enoy the photos! I need names too! I was thinking something Japanese...

She looks a lot cuter from the side, LOL. She eats wet cat chow, fruits and veggies and whatever else I decide to give her.

The Walking Stick pics will come next.

wow, interesting choice! Can't wait to see what she looks like as an adult! What's she like when she's hyper?

Well she just darts across my body real fast, almost as if she wants to jump off of me, and other times she is just very still, and will sit in my hand cleaning herself.

    Cass!!!

I have an adversion to "creepy crawly". I get all itchy and nervous just looking at these pictures. I'm sorry.

I'm happy for you though, I know you really like these guys.

    Congrats on the new additions!!

OK time for my leaf insect pictures.

She eats Bramble and rose bush leaves.

I like this picture the best.

Well that's it. And here's a rattie pic to top it off! Maybe this will even it out.

Oooh, I miss my walking sticks! I wish they lived longer. I like your new roach too, can't wait to see her as an adult! I got my BF a Deaths head roach to feed to his Tokay and he got attached and decided to keep it instead!

    Thank you Wolf_Q!

Actually I decided not to keep Keeper. We drove to Portland yesterday to take him and his brother to their new homes.

All I want to know is, what brand / type of camera took those incredibly detailed close-ups? I'm in the market for a new digital, especially for detail pics like those.

I don't mind the pictures, but if one of those were to touch my skin, I'd better have my Depends on.....
The legend says that Mohammed adored cats. When one of them was sleeping on his sleeve and he had to go out, Mohammed supposedly cut off the sleeve so as not to disturb his pet.
