    Costuming Help

I know, I know. Halloween is long past. But I'm getting together a costume to wear to MTAC in April (it's fun having people stop you to get your picture!), and am desperately hunting a wig. I can find the right style, or the right color, but not both, and it's driving me up the wall.

Does anyone know where a girl could get her hands on a turquoise wig in a bowl or pageboy cut?

Or, at this point, I'm willing to go with spray on color provided it'll work on dark brown hair and come out easily in one or two washes.

Yep. Tried Ebay and many online wig stores. No luck. I'm starting to think I'll just have to give up and get a blonde wig and some Sharpies.

Try http://www.archiemcphee.com or http://www.buycostumes.com They ALWAYS have something appropriate (or inappropriate )

I just did a search on Google, typing in "turquoise pageboy wig" and got to this:

    and this: http://www.garmentdistrict.com/store...ndex_wigs3.htm

    and this:

So the wigs are out there .... this is fun!

Definitely some I'll have to check out! Right now, the closest style to what I'm looking for is here:

I've attached a pic of the character I'm dressing as. The shirt and the hair are the hardest parts and I've almost got the shirt done.

Lacey, you can get a longer wig in the color you want, then have it cut and styled like you want it! My very first job was at a wig store, and people would do that all the time.

Sorry, I don't have any advice. But what is MTAC? It's been driving me nuts all day.

MTAC = Middle Tennesse Anime Convention

    http://mtac.net

Basically it's a three day party for cartoon geeks. I'm most likely just going to be there for one of its three days. Costuming is optional, but I did it (for the first time) at the last anime convention I went to and it was loads of fun. Anyway, there'll be gaming, cartoon watching, a dance (I'm going to be trying to stay late enough for this), guest panels, a dealers room to buy all sorts of stuff. Loads of fun!

So if anyone in reasonable driving distance of Nashville is looking for some way to spend the first weekend in April, grab a $20, hop in the car, and check it out.

This'll be my first time at MTAC, and I can't wait!

I found this here, it's one of the sites RedHeadd posted. You could cut it to the proper length, at least it's the right color.
