    Tigris Update

I have been asked how Tigris is doing and I am happy to say: Very fine.

Friday it will be two weeks that he stopped taking the antibiotics and the prednisone. It was a happy moment for me because I could wake up without thinking of the cat pilling session half an hour later

Of course I was very worried how he would be without his meds.

We found a solution for the drinking problem: you remember it was no chicken broth for him, no tuna juice, no cat milk with water, definitely no water. Now we found out: We add a spoonful of warm water to the wet food (I call it Tigris' soup now ). He laps all the liquid first and then eats the food

Thanks to that he is making wonderful big pee biscuits two times a day and we support the cat litter industry by having to buy more Filou profits from that as well.

I am still not relaxed and every day I come home from the office I ask when and how much he has been peeing.

Of course he's happy as a clam.

Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts, prayers and practical hints. You have been of so much help for us

Wonderful news, Barabara! Way to go Tigris!!

I know exactly how you feel when you say you haven't relaxed yet, but that will come. The longer he goes with no problems, the more you'll relax, but you will probably always be a little more alert and "in tune" to his pee biscuits than you were before. But that's not all that bad of a thing as he gets older. Like I told Slick the other day, they depend on us to worry about them. Besides providing them with food, water, comfortable living quarters and lots of love, it's our job to worry about them.

{{{hugs}}} to you and big smoochies to one of my very favorite PT boy kitties.

Barbara, that's great news! I'm so happy for you! Coming home to a pile of pee biscuits is pure bless - who would have thought before we had cats with these problems.

Give one of my favourite boys a big kiss on the nose!

PS. Did he get any rounder after taking Prednisolone? Fister did!

I don't think so? But we still have to weigh him.
