    Pippi and her Dad

    As many of you know, I took Pippi in to find her a new home. I certainly did not need another (6th) dog and I don't usually make decisions without talking it through with Carl. But Pippi wormed her way into my arms and into my heart.


    She was scared to death of people - she had been chained to a dog house and had little human companionship. Pippi was especially scared of men but there didn't seem to be any abuse in her background. When she met Carl she barked at him and ran from him. But they have slowly become friends.

    Last night Carl was in his usual spot sitting on the floor watching TV leaning against the couch. He called to me and I went out to see and here is what I found


    (She was trying to kiss him and he was trying to keep from being kissed.)

    Oh, how wonderful!!!! Yay for you little Miss Pipster!!! Millie was much the same way at first.

    Micki, as you said about Chester shivering and being cold (although he was sick) she has been coming in from outside shivering and shaking. Of course, there is snow on the ground and the temperature is only about 15 F. or so. So we have just been leaving the sweatshirt on her so as she goes in and out the hundreds time of day we don't have to put it on, take it off....

    Being navy blue, it looks kind of bad - her short little white hairs are covering it. She has a little bit heavier coat but it is a little harder to get on and off. I noticed in your pictures before that you wear a lot of sweaters on your dogs. I was afraid that all the rough houseing that she does with the other dogs that they would be full of pulls or maybe completely pulled apart. Do you have that problem with yours?

    The only pulls that Chester gets in his sweaters are from him trying to pull it off when he gets to warm, lol. Quite a sight to see. But he really doesn’t wrestle or rough house. The girls wear theirs some, but the both get hot quickly, so they only wear them if it’s extremely cold.

    Chester’s sweaters get covered in white hairs too, but they’re his, Millie’s and Cinny’s! It’s hard to find sweaters that fit him properly, so when I found the red & blue ones that he wears all the time, I bought 4 in each color. That way he gets a hair free one (for an hour or so anyway) every day. He wears his from morning to bedtime most days until about mid May. He’s extremely cold natured which is not uncommon in Toy Fox Terriers.

    When I mentioned Bowser the other day, Carl said I could have a seventh dog after you and Amy each had 6. Do you think that is going to be too long?Just wanted to know when to start looking again?
