Has anyone ever went snowboarding?

I'm most likley going snowboarding with Taylor (friend) on sunday.

I had a light argument with my mom that I can just wear my shoes up their. She told me no, and that we'll have to go out and get "snowboots" i dont want to either...

I'm just wondering what would be better and why.

I've been snowboarding before.

If your renting a snowboard somewhere they will (normally) give you special boots to where when snowboarding that actually 'fit' into the board. I would call wherever you're going and ask.

Snowboarding is awesome!

Yes, you'll need snowboots. If you're renting your board and boots, you'll be fitted for both of them (as well as the bindings).

Ohh! My sister has snowboarded before when she lived in MI for a few years. She says it's awesome! I wish I had the chance to.. although I think i'd fall on my face ;x

I want to go so bad. My friend and I were planning to try snowboarding this year, but now we can't. I was so disappointed. We've been skiing before.
