    Oh what fun

it is to de-decorate a Christmas tree!!!

Ok, So I'm a little behind schedule. We took down the Christmas decorations today. And everyone lended a helping paw.

Even Allen. He wanted to determine if the younger ones could play with the beads.

Proclaiming the beads safe, Abby decided to see if they'd be something she could use in her wardrobe

Further proof that Pouncer and Abby are twins - - Twin meatloafs!

Pouncer checked out the protective cartons for the Christmas balls to determine if they were in good enough condition to protect the balls for another year. He gave the "paws-up" sign that they were good to go.

Then he watched over the large balls that don't fit into the container. He wanted to make sure those little ones didn't break them! So thoughtful, don't you think?

    More coming...

    Next came the tree itself.

I had two very special helpers with that!
Harry let me know which branches came apart next

He even tried to remove the branches himself!

And Abby checked out the connections to make sure they'll be in proper working order next year.

Well, thats it, Everything is boxed and put away in the basement til next year. Its fun to put up but a chore to take down! What would I have done without my helping paws?

You must have been relieved to have such wonderful helpers! Love how Harry & Abby made sure the tree would come apart properly for you.

I have a wonderful, warm Mimi in my lap, right now.........she did NOT help with the decorations, though. Darn it! ..........oh my goodness.......UPDATE......right as I was typing that, Butter decided to jump into my lap too......not a good idea!! I actually screamed!!! Those two do NOT do well in the same lap, for sure!!!

CatNapper-what wonderful little helpers you have! We don't put Christmas trees up in this house because the kitty folk are naughty and chew on branches and leave little bits of green vomit throughout the house. We did a tree one year when my Mom came to visit, but not anytime soon--they don't know how to behave themselves. LOL

Thank you CatNapper for the beautiful siggy!

What adorable pictures, Kim!!! I absolutely hate dismantling the tree, but I can't wait to get all the decorations and clutter put away. I used to leave everything up until New Year's Day ... now it's down the day after Christmas! LOL!
