    My Turkish Van

i just want to tell you all about my Princess Bridgett. She's been gone since Feb. 20, 2002. But I still miss her! She hadn't been feeling well prior to the date and I took her to the vet and she had to be put to sleep on the spot. Her kidneys were completely shut down. I have a huge framed picture of her and I had her cremated, both of which some people made fun of me for...but I don't care. She was my baby. I'd had her since I was 5. I was 21 when she died. Just wanted to share.

She was beautiful! I can't understand in the least how people could make fun of you for having memorials of her. I have memorials set up for my RB dogs as well and I find it a comfort and remembrance of them. Princess Bridgett was a beautiful girl and I can tell just from that picture how happy and loved she was. Rest in peace sweet Princess.

When the cats my family had while I was growing up died, I made memorials using the Rainbow Bridge poem and a photo, and had it laminated on particle board from the local photofinishing store... My parents have them all up on the wall, like a rogue's gallery..

Just tell them that they were a part of your family and they should be immortalized as well.. You never forget Great Aunt Alice, no need to forget Fluffy..

I agree. It was pretty much the money spend that they made fun of me for, but to me it was worth every penny. Bridgett's ashes are in a ceramic cat urn in my curio cabinet and her picture is on the wall. I say my money, my cat, my business!!
