    Chair full of fur!!

    How to keep warm when it's -40 outside...

    Cuddle up!(Pete-ginger tabby, Onyx, the black kitty, Glacier, meezer mix)


    There just wasn't quite enough room left for Felicia--she's the wee one on top of the chair!

    Is it really -40 outside? I can't even imagine how cold that has to feel!

    It really is...well, right now it's up to about -35C (Celcius and Farenheit are the same at -40) It's been this cold for about a week now.

    I guess I shouldn't tell you that it's been sunny and in the 70's (Fahrenheit) down here.

    I need to put a sweater on now! I got a chill reading - 40 BRRR!!!! I'm glad the kitties look well insulated for those temps.

    Actually, I prefer cold to being hot. -40C I can dress for. There is no way to get comfortable at +40! I'd prefer that it warmed up to about -25C and stayed there though. That's perfect dog sledding weather!

    We heat the house with a wood stove, so it's on all the time. Other than that-lots of layers and I am good friends with the local army surplus dealer. Army guys get great winter gear--ugly as sin, but it's warm!
