My sister's chinchilla, in the care of our family while she's behind bars, just died Monday. He got out of his plastic ball and tried jumping onto a chair but hit the bottom and broke his neck. Breaking the news to my sister will be tough especially since the people who were watching her dog had to give it up for adoption because nobody we know could keep her.
