    Wally Pictures

Mike and I both are so tickled with how well Wally is doing... Eating good, drinking his water and not being as wild as we had thought. Today is a beautiful, nice day and we have the front of the cage uncovered and I have spent a lot of time with him, talking to him/her, playing with things to entice him to play (took toys over and put in the cage for him). He is use to us moving around in front of the cage and talking, even loudly at times. I took a dry leaf and scraped it around on the outside of the cage and he watched with great interest, then I opened the door and laid it on his paw and he never even flinched.. The only thing I have found that seems to scare him is messing with that crackly tarp we have the cage covered it, he does not like that sound at all. Mike says he thinks we could pet him now but I told him as bad as I want to, I think we need to wait and gain more of his trust.

Look at this face and how alert his eyes are. What is not to fall in love with there? There is just something about his face.......

He's just beautiful. I think I am luckier with the one I caught. Wally seems to be a bit older than the one I have.

There's something about this picture laura, that makes him look like an abandoned housecat! The first one he looks scared, and I agree with Clara that he looks older than her capture. I wish there was someway you could get him into a bathroom, or small enclosed area, and test him out by patting him. Maybe a long wooden dowel will reach through the cage and you'd be able to pat him that way? Too risky opening that door when he's outside still. He is so very handsome (or she's so pretty).

I forgot to mention that Mike has had his door open all day and Klinger and Yetta have been sitting there, enjoying the fresh air... He said at one time, they were carrying on a conversation back and forth... Meowing at each other and awhile ago when I went over to talk to it.. Wally meowed at me too...
