    Emma learned a trick!!!!

As you can probably see, I am VERY excited about this

I do Clicker Training with my pups, and I remember someone telling me that you can clicker train a cat, that it was HARD, but possible

So tonight I sat down with Emma and first taught her what the clicker means, so I would just click and give her a treat...

To make a long story short, Emma has learned the "sit" command, and the whole thing took about 30 minutes

She sits whenever I say the word, I have NEVER tried to tain a cat before and I have NEVER met a cat who knew any commands.

I am very proud of her

    RIP Jasper. I can't believe you're gone.
RIP Tigger...I miss you every single day.

Its this little thing that makes a noise. You push the button whenever a dog does a right commmand and they get a treat eventually they know just by the noise that they did the right trick.

That's cool! The only command Tubby understands is "NO!"

And Peanut doesn't even know that one. Her daddy says all she doesn't have to be smart, all she has to do is look cute, which she is very good at.

Sounds like you got cute and smart! Way to go Emma!

Good job Emma!!! I have never heard of "training" a cat. *I* am very well trained though. Mine do react to the shaking of a treat package - but they do NOT sit, they ATTACK

    Emma must be extra smart!!!

Thats what I taught Emma with(temptations)

*EDIT* I have also learned that she will only "sit" for a treat when she feels like it..typical cat

That is so funny! Yep, cats do what they want, when they want.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
