Have you decorated for Christmas yet?

I just got started on it tonight....the inside of our house anyways! Matthew has to help me put up the Christmas lights outside, it can be a real chore!
I set up my 2 trees, now I just have to put on the ornaments......fun!
I also have this stuffed bear holding a Christmas tree with a dog pulling on the tree. When you press the bears paw it sings "who let the dogs out".....HAHA.....Wicket & Waffles ran away from that so fast it was funny!

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

No, and I'm not sure I'm going to this year. I still have renos going on in my apt and the workers have a few more days yet until it's complete. After that it will take me at least a week to clean up; plastic covering has to come off everything, put the bathrooms back together and do some MAJOR vacumming and dusting. After that, I don't know if I'll have the energy to haul all the boxes up from storage, yada yada yada.

My neighbours are shocked because I'm always the first in the building to have my lights up - usually around November 15. I love the Christmas lights so much that I don't take them down until mid January.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

No, we don't decorate until about a week before Christmas. We just put candles in the windows so far...

Today, a new shop opened in my village. It is a 3 stores old house. It is FULL of X-mas decorations !! Oh my, everything is so beautiful (but expensive ). I couldn't resist buying few red glass ornaments, and a red bird with feather (to be clipped on the tree).

All I need now is a tree : next saturday

Yes, we started decorating on Thanksgiving day, got the lights up outside and the tree and other decorations inside. Between that and cooking turkey and watching football, it was a pretty exhausting day. But we like to get the decorations up a little early to enjoy them, since we are always gone at Christmas, usually to my family's in Wisconsin, but this year my husband, daughter and I are going down to Louisiana to spend Christmas, my mother in law lives there, so we are going down to spend the holidays southern style.
