Siberian going to the pound on Monday
Plz cross post. If you think you can help this dog, please realize that
Siberians can be escape artists BIG time. They need a home where someone
really understands the breed. Do not contact me about this, please. See
email of the person trying to help below.
A nice woman asked me today at Petsmart about a dog, Chloe, that her friend
has. It¹s a brown and white purebred Siberian with blue eyes. One eye has a
small amt of brown in it. Seems the man¹s son took the dog from someone who
didn¹t want it, brought it home and then I think he moved away (can¹t recall
all the details), leaving the dog with his dad. Dad has heart problems and
is on disability and finds it difficult to walk Chloe several times a day.
He has no fenced yard. A man with 3 other Sibes was interested in her, but
hasn¹t called back.
The man lives in Gainesville and is taking Chloe to the Hall pound on
Monday. I asked the woman to plead with him to keep him a while longer so we
could get her on some sites, spread the word, etc., but he¹s adamant that
he¹s only giving her until Monday. I told the woman I spoke with to tell him
he was basically signing her death warrant by doing that, but that
apparently has had no impact on his decision.
If you can help Chloe, please contact the nice woman trying to help her,
Mary Ann Simonton at <[email protected]>.
Chloe is spayed, lives in the house, but still chews some because she¹s
young. I believe she said she¹s about 1.5 yrs old or maybe less, but I¹m not
certain. The man is home all day with her, so she¹s going to be truly
heartbroken when he leaves her at the pound. And on the other hand, he must
not HAVE a heart!
