    Another wind storm...

I have a vastly improved view of the mountains today after a major windstorm again yesterday. This one did even more damage than the first one did a couple weeks ago. We lost every fence in the yard except the one that we just put up around the edge of our property. It was supposed to keep the wolves out, but yesterday it kept the huskies in! There are pics in Dog General of the chaos and fun they had! There were 18 of them loose most of the day!

The forest right behind my house--mowed down.

Right behind the smallest dog pen.

What's left of Pingo, Chum & Hobo's pen. We've got the other pens temporarily back up, but this one is useless. We're getting a bobcat tomorrow to clean the roots ect out and hopefully get the fence up!

The only fence still standing fully intact!

My hubby hard at work rebuilding one of the pens. The tree that fell here, fell in a perfect line with the fence and sheered off about 60 feet of fencing wire.

I can't wait for a good ol' snowstorm!

    GOOD GRIEF!!

We complain here when it's windy enough to blow the odd piece of fencing out - that looks so dangerous. Was anybody injured?

Looks like hubby will be working hard for some considerable time eh Glacier?

    Good Luck.

Not here. All of our critters are fine. We were fine. I have heard of a few minor injuries around town though. Fortunately nothing major, although some people did suffer major property damage. We are very lucky that our house & the other buildings on our property weren't damaged.

He's got a lot of chainsawing to do! I have a lot of wood to stack!

EEk! I'm glad one of those didn't fall on you, the dogs, or the house! *hugs*
