Who was the best President?

Whoever America's new President is gonna be, one thing is certain - a lot of people won't agree with the choice.

I'm wondering which President out of the ten latest in America, PTalkers liked the most, and who the they thought were the worst. I can only put ten in a poll, so .... vote for the one you liked best, and put the worst in your reply, if you like.

In spite of Bill Clinton's big blunder, I rather had a good impression of him. I personally think Nixon was the worst.

I'm also curious to know, which one of them reminds you the most of President G.W. Bush? Is he one you liked, or one you didn't like?

Unfortunately I can't name one so I didn't vote. They have all had their faults, some more than others and none has really inspired me. *sigh* I think many people will vote for JFK, but it may be more of a sympathy vote because of the way he died. It was a tragic event in our history and one of the only times I saw my dad cry. That's not enough of a reason to vote for him though.

I was a baby when Carter was president. I remember learning all about the President's in school. From what my parents have said.. I have to vote Kennedy.

Though personally, out of the Presidents I've seen while growing up, I liked Clinton.

I haven't lived enough to see many presidents, but of the presidents in my lifetime, I would say Clinton was the best.

I've lived since JFK, but, as a social studies teacher, I have read about the presidents.

Of these 10 I rated Truman the best....I didn't like any of them, but, he was the best of the bunch. Personally I liked Roosevelt (FDR) and what he did to try and get us out of the Depression, even though he sent the national debt through the roof.

Of the 10 listed I think Reagan and Nixon were the absolute pits. Of the presidents throughout history....in addition to these 2, William Henry Harrison was an idiot (even though he only served 31 days!! lol) and Andrew Jackson.

I don't know who I think was the BEST, but I do know that I find Nixon the most intriguing. I think he's America's most amazing tragic figure.

I voted for Reagan. He gave the country hope when we needed it most.

I voted for Reagan. No drama or scandals and the big plus was he was very level headed. One of the best in a long time.

I was only around for Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton and Bush Jr.

I don't remember either of Reagan's terms. My first memory of a political event is the start of the Gulf War. I was nine years old.

I voted for Clinton.

I agree. I think Reagan was my favorite although I was only a baby when he was President. I don't know...I just like him a whole lot better than any of the others.
